After listening to customer feedback and navigating hurdles, AscentERP supports work orders that will increase productivity and open doors to new ways of doing business. There are many exciting developments beginning with these four features:
The answer to everything you wanted to do with PWO, but never could. Work Orders for Ascent 2.0 goes beyond tracking inventory and allows users to manage people and processes when managing their repair business in an integrated and efficient system.
Imagine entering a sales order that automatically generated a work order, directing an employee to pull product, take action like repair the product and then ship and or invoice it. At the same time, inventory, cost, and employee time is being tracked. Is your work load getting easier?
Additional AscentERP Work Order features:
- Mobile ready
- Sequential work orders
- Inventory management
- Custom interfaces
- Record various types of work, expenses, testing and other categories
In the past, AscentERP and Ascent Rental have relied on the case object of Salesforce. The Salesforce decision to remove cases from Sales Cloud and only support cases in Service Cloud would have left future customers in return management trouble.
The solution is, of course, Ascent. We have uncoupled our RMA from the case object ensuring that Sales Cloud users can still have RMA and that warehouse staff in Service Cloud organizations will not need a Service Cloud licenses just to handle returns.
If you love Salesforce cases, we’re still supporting that as well. But for those who have encountered licensing issues with the service cloud, AscentERP returns is an efficient and cost effective solution. We’re certain customers will appreciate the added flexibility and the integration with Work Orders.
Margin can fluctuate depending on a number of variants, but typical recorded cost systems don’t take those things into account. That’s why your accounting department will rejoice with these new features:
- Record historical cost of goods at every inventory transaction
- Recorded cost by Purchase Price on PO, Item Cost, or Historical Lot Cost
- Multiple currencies supported
Decimal Precision Control
Ascent users will notice a shift in the way decimal precision control is handled. Instead of depending on us to designate the decimals for currency and quantity related fields, users will be able to make those adjustments as needed. While this may be small change, we hope that continuing to empower our customers will make for a better and easier experience.
