Real life Project Implementation

International scaffolding company needed a rental management solution that was cloud based and that could be implemented in a short amount of time. They needed a scalable inventory management system that would allow them to track a rental job from beginning to end.


Starting from the “Rental Opportunity Line” and by simply clicking on create quote. The quote is automatically linked to an opportunity. If the quote is accepted then it is converted to a Rental Sales Order (SO), a project for services is created. Now a SO, the quote is changed to converted.


All work is conducted on the SO. Once the order is packed, the scaffolding delivers to the job site. The driver updates the SO as delivered, which triggers an e-­‐mail to the rental manager, he also can view a list of delivered orders with his Ascent SO list view.

Rental Return:

When it is time to return the rental equipment, they simply go into the SO and click on rental return. The inventory is moved back into the warehouse or to another job location.


The invoice for the rental order can either be generated once the order is packed or after it is delivered. The invoice is generated and passed off to accounting. The process would be automated with Ascent‐Financial Force integration.
